Kevin has been named a KIFN fellow by the Kavli Foundation for outstanding early career scientists. He will lead the development of a cell-subtype-resolved connectivity map of the mouse primary visual cortex using barcoded rabies viral tracing technology. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Urvashi receiving CIRM fellowship on the project "Elucinating the genomic mechanisms of FGF8 and retinoic acid signaling and interaction in human cortical areal specification".
The lab was busy cooking Korean street foods! Kimbap, bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, tteokbokki, and geot jeori were great. Most of all, making Bingsu together after the dinner was the highlight of the day!
Edward joined the lab! He is the first Developmental and Stem Cell Biology program student in the team and will be jointly supervised by Dr. Jacob Young investigating the neural circuit of glioma. Welcome Edward and we are excited to have you onboard!
Cathryn received the prestigious Sontag DSA award for her project entitled "Cellular and circuit-level reorganization of neural networks by diffuse infiltrating glioma". This funding will support our work in glioma neuroscience in collaboration with Dr. Shawn Hervey-Jumper.
Ike decided to join the lab! He is the first MSTP student to join the team, and will bring a computational/machine learning perspective to our ongoing projects on image analysis and sequencing-based connectomics to better understand brain function. We look forward to seeing what he will…
